The Defenders Hits Netflix August 18

Netflix/Marvel released a quick security cam video of The Defenders announcing the miniseries’ release date.

Though Iron Fist ultimately turned out to be a disappointment, most folks binge-watched in order to be up to speed on what’s going down when all four heroes team up. It’s a shame the final Defender’s series was a bust, because Marvel had such a phenomenal track record up to that point. Anyway, with Iron Fist out of the way, it’s time to look to The Defenders.

New York Bulletin ArchiveAs far as I know, EW was the first to share the video clip below even before Netflix “officially” released it. They informed readers the address at the top left points to: At the bottom, you can see where it says “Watch “Marvel’s The Defenders” All Episodes Streaming Only on Netflix August 18.” Netflix has since released the date, but I can’t help wonder if the announcement was premature. Did someone at Netflix slip up by releasing the video clip early? Did media outlets pick up on it too quickly, forcing their hand? Either way, the news it out and The Defenders hits Netflix August 18th.
