Game of Thrones: Season 7 Coming July 16

Well fellow Game of Thrones fans, looks like we’re going to have to wait a bit longer for Season 7.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Premieres Sunday, July 16HBO has finally confirmed that its mega-hit series Game Of Thrones will return for Season 7 (consisting of 7 episodes) on Sunday, July 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT). The announcement comes right around the time past seasons have normally begun to air new episodes. Season 4 premiered April 6, 2014 and Season 5 hit April 12, 2015. Last year, Season 6 took the longest to begin airing on April 24, 2016 but that’s nothing compared to waiting another three months.

Naturally, as the premiere is still a ways off there’s no real official art. However, the “Fire & Ice” poster you see above is for this year’s SXSW conference where panelists include: Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and cast members Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Sophie Turner (Anya Stark).

HBO also teased the new season with a video via its social media accounts, which you can watch below. Ready for Season 7?
